Boots: Old Navy

When an occasion comes up we are always tempted to go out and buy something shiny and new to wear.  If you’re on a budget, get creative with sourcing your pieces for a fun night out.  Obviously, sales are always and economical way to go shopping.  I scored this very cute faux fur leopard print jacket at Zara last month.  It was regularly $129 and I snatched it up for just $49!  Another great resource is your friends.  If you have some gal pals who are a similar size to you, get them together for a night of wine and clothes swapping.  I grabbed these very comfy and ultra skinny ponte pants from one of my girlfriends.  I wear them all the time and all it cost me was a top I was done with.  Lastly, dig through your closet.  I know I say this all the time, but it is obviously the cheapest and easiest option.  We all have treasures hidden deep in our closets that we have long forgotten about.  I have had this old Dex flowy tunic for years.  I’ve been able to wear it so many ways.  I even wore it for my stagette about three and half years ago.  It is one of those clothing items that just keeps on going.

What are some of your tips and tricks to look stylish for less?
