I am so looking forward to all things November! There is so much going on this month, it will be busy, but worth it. November is giving me all the winter feels already. It actually snowed yesterday! Nothing stuck, but, snow!!!! I need to break out my winter coats and dust off my boots. I think we are in for another harsh winter here on the West Coast.
I am currently planning Madelyn’s 4th Birthday Party. We are doing a unicorn theme this year. I’ve been working on a couple of fun little DIY’s and slowly checking things off my list. I kind of adore the challenge of creating a fun filled day for Maddie all while keeping costs small and the the fun big. We plan on kicking it old school this year and hosting the party right here at our house. Kids parties are a bit too crazy these days. I just want to make is special and fun for Madelyn. She’s the only one I’m trying to impress. It’s all about her getting to play with her best little pals. It will be a small group of kids which is perfect for an at home party. There will be games, treats, and of course, cake!
We will also be off on our first family vacation as a family of five…well, six, as my mother-in-law is joining us. I am so excited and a little nervous. Luckily it’s a short flight. It will be a whole new experience to travel with this many small kids and pack for everyone too. This weekend we plan on getting a bit organized in figuring out what we need to rent for the kids in Palm Springs. Playpens, carseats, etc. I also have the really important stuff to take care of too like, my hair appointment, a pedi, and the always fun task of bathing suit shopping. Wish me luck!
To cap off the month, it will be my birthday. I’m not much into celebrating my birthday in a big way. My last big shindig was my 29th. I’m just a wee bit older than that now. (wink) I’m happy to keep things easy and casual as long as I don’t have to cook, it’s a happy birthday to me. Oh, and there has to be cake. Obviously.
So that is November in a nutshell. I am also working on some fun new things for the blog. I am already working on things for the holiday season. How is it that time of year already? I can’t wait to share all I have in store. Stay tuned!
