When it comes to winter outfit inspiration, I always find myself pinning the same type of outfit on Pinterest. Jeans, white runners, toque, a tucked in tee, and some cute layers. The girl usually looks comfortable and confident and is always with a coffee in hand. Oh, and one other thing….she’s always skinny. I weirdly pin these looks while saying to myself, “I could never pull that off”. A tucked in top is a fear of mine. There is still so much left over baby squish on my tummy. My first instinct is to hide, conceal, and camouflage. I don’t think you’ll see me rocking a body con dress any time soon, but a little half tuck on a slouchy tee is a good place to start.
So to prove to myself that girls of all sizes can have fun with the styles they admire, I gave the look a shot. It checked my main outfit box of being so unbelievable comfortable as well as cozy and warm. It made me realize I need to take small risks every once in while and have fun with clothes again. So, I’m going to pin me in this outfit, and maybe another girl out there who thinks this look isn’t for her, will give it a second thought and take the plunge. #imsizeme
