Having a Mom’s day out that doesn’t involve running errands, doing something for the kids, or going to an appointment at the dentist or doctor, is kind of a rare thing these days. So when I got invited to have a day out (ON MY OWN) to explore all that Tsawwassen Mills has to offer, I jumped at the chance.
It was my first time out to Tsawwassen Mills and it did not disappoint. I figured any good shopping trip starts with food. My first stop was Milestones where my Hubby met up with me for a mid-day cocktail and eats. A date with the husband is also rare so this was a total treat. After lunch, I got my shop on! There was so much to choose from, so where is a girl to start? Saks Fifth Avenue, that’s where! They have an Off 5th shop there so I had to go touch and see all the pretty things. A beautiful, Italian made, linen blouse made it’s way home with me. DSW was another obvious choice for me. Shoes! Shoes! Shoes! I picked myself up a cute pair of pink kicks for Spring and a beautiful pair of leather Spring/Summer booties that were made in Spain. They felt like they were giving my feet a hug. I’m sure you’ll be seeing them in a lot of my upcoming posts.
Another mandatory part of shopping are breaks. I took time to rehydrate with a mango bubble tee and actually got to sit and enjoy it. Real talk….shopping has not been something I like to do since I had the twins. Going out with three small people with needs and demands has made shopping a chore. On my own, however, shopping was quite enjoyable. I took the time to actually look at the clothes, feel the fabric, and try things on properly (not the mom on the fly try on over your clothes in the middle of the store). If I wanted to take a break, I did. There was no one whining and rushing me along. I loved how open, bright, and spacious the shopping centre was. I never felt like I was part of a herd traveling through the mall. There was room to breath which made it all the more enjoyable.
I, of course, did some shopping for the family too. I bought Remo a new spring jacket and a pair of shoes and I had to hit up Mastermind Toys for the kids. The toys I picked out have been a total hit and getting played with nonstop. My husband might be cursing me for getting a singing, whistling duck for the babies. It’s loud, but they love it. Haha! I can’t wait to head back for another fun filled day of shopping. I’m thinking next visit should be a Girl’s Day!
Pose unconsciously inspired by the Tsawwassen Mills bag. I totally didn’t notice until I edited the photos.
This post was in partnership with Tsawwassen Mills. As always, all options are my own.
