I love the beginning of a new year. It’s a time to start fresh, get organized, and cleanse. For me the cleansing will be coming in many forms. I always do a big closet clean to start the new year a little lighter. Our house will get scrubbed and cupboards will be organized. But most importantly, my body will be cleansed and toned…at least that’s the plan.
Last Spring I was in a pretty bad car accident. Since that time I’ve put on a significant amount of weight and really gotten out of shape. At first I had to rest to start the healing process, but now I’m realizing that there is no quick fix to my injuries. So instead of just waiting to get better, I’ve decided to claim back my body.
I need motivation to make exercise and diet changes happen. My first milestone is 25 days from now. My sister is getting married in Whistler on January 26th. I am her Maid-of-Honor and have a beautiful strapless gown to wear. It’s currently a little snug, and doesn’t seem to quite do up right now….close, but not quite. So, the current plan is a 14 day cleanse which I will start tomorrow and exercise at least once per day. ( I might try to double up on the days I go to yoga in the morning.) This will be a healthy cleanse. I’m not the type who can live off some weird lemon drink. I gotsta eat! I’ll just be sticking to a leaner menu.
