Cassie Dee F/W 2012

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of viewing Canadian designer, Cassie Dee‘s Fall/Winter 2012 Collection.  Her inspiration came from the anticipation of Rebecca Serle’s “When You Were Mine”, the spin-off to the story of Romeo and Juliet, told from the perspective of Rosaline.

The collection was full of bold colour, impeccable tailoring, and was designed with a strong  woman in mind.  A adored the colour palette of mustard yellow, rich burgundy, royal blue, red, with black and white.

I liked the element of leather throughout the collection.  The looks were feminine with an edge.  This is a style of dress I personally love.  It’s modern and sexy.

The presentation was lovely.  It was like a moving art installation.   While we and the models moved throughout the room,  a cellist, wearing a Cassie Dee creation and playing classical music.   Classical music, bold colour, Romeo and Juliet, and beautiful designs made for a fantastic Fall/Winter Preview.
