Wondering what this RAW thing is all about?  Raw Beauty Talks mission is to help women find a deeper level of confidence and acceptance.  They recognize that there are so many messages out there telling us we aren’t enough, so RAW Beauty Talks is here to say, “You are enough.  You are so much more than enough.”

Q: Beauty can be defined in so many ways.  What is your definition of “beautiful”?

A: It may sound cliche, but I truly believe beauty comes from within.  There are a lot of  “pretty people” with a lot of ugly qualities.  Beauty is confidence, kindness, compassion, loving, and  warmth and this all comes from within.  If you carry these qualities in your heart your beauty is bound to shine through.

Q: Have you ever struggled with confidence, body image, or insecurities in your life?

A: Absolutely!  I’d love to say that I am completely confident all the time, but unfortunately that’s not true.  I had a baby five months ago and my post baby body has definitely had me down.  I get upset with myself that I feel this way.  I’m working everyday on “getting my body back”.  I now know this has to start with my head and my heart.  If I can look in the mirror and accept what I see, I’m already on the right path.

Q: If you could go back in time and give your 9 year old self a piece of advice it would be?

A: Don’t let mean words stick with you.  They are other people’s insecurities being pushed on to you.  Love who you are because you’re pretty darn awesome!

Q: What is your message for other women out there?

A: Embrace diversity.  We are a society obsessed with the unobtainable.  We need to stop comparing ourselves to our airbrushed counterparts and realize that perfection isn’t real, it’s manufactured.  We also need to celebrate each other more too.  Try giving someone a compliment today.  It’s the best feeling in the world!
