S T Y L E I N S P I R A T I O N : Normally Summer is all about bright colours and fun prints. While I have infused a bit of this into my wardrobe, I can’t seem to shake gravitating towards pretty neutrals. Little black dresses, a denim vest, flowy kimonos, and basic tees and tanks have been my staples. Between the luxury of working from home and being on full time mommy duty, this has been the simplest way to make my closet work for me. The time I have to get ready is much shorter so easy pieces I can mix n match help enormously. We’ve also been experiencing one of the hottest Summers I can remember, which has also been affecting my outfit choices in the morning. Light weight cottons and linens allow me to layer and keep me cool.
My self made Summer Vibe “rules”:
1. Top knots or a straw hat are a must.
2. For a flattering look, layer a super light kimono or vest over a simple dress.
3. Keep makeup minimal. Mascara, bronzer, and lip gloss is all you need.
4. Interesting jewelry will add the personality to your basic pieces.
5. Focus on your skin. Use a body scrub a couple of times a week to keep your skin glowing. Of course, don’t forget to moisturize and protect your skin with sunscreen.
