A Simple Look For Busy Moms

mom style

I feel like I have got the hang of stying my leggings to look acceptable enough for quick errands and school drop off and pick up.  Buuuut, sometimes we just gotta look a bit more polished.  I know it sounds like a daunting task, but fear not Mommas!  I’ve got a great simple go-to formula that can work for most casual occasions.  Now I’m not saying upcoming holiday parties are going to be the best place for this formula, but parent/teacher meetings, coffee dates, errands, dinner with the hubs, shopping trips, and, well, you get the idea.

The formula is simple.  A fabulous pair of jeans + a blouse + a tailored or leather jacket + ankle boots = instant outfit success!  On this day I up’d my errands game with this very cute Dex Clothing floral blouse and ripped jeans.  I looked like the cool mom at the coffee shop for a change.  LOL!  Who are we kidding?  I’m so not cool.

For a more refined version of this formula, I would have opted for a dark blue or black jean (sans rips), same blouse, and a black blazer.  For a bit of a more laid back approach, I would have gone with these jeans and blouse and then layered on a cozy cardi in lieu of the jacket and threw on some easy slides.  For this cooler weather we are now experiencing, a blanket scarf is the easiest way to add warmth and even more style.  Two things that would probably be a constant regardless of the outfit?  A topknot on my head and a coffee in my hand.

I love outfit formulas, especially on a work day when the morning is a rush! Also, your topknots always looks so great!
