If you follow me on social media, you may know I have been doing some major purging to my wardrobe. The absolute best thing that has come from this purge is that I have been finding myself falling in love with some old favourites again. I bought this handmade, silk kimono when I was vacationing in Maui with my husband. This was pre-children…hence the silk, and hence the term vacation;). I love everything about it. I can smell the Hawaii air when I put it on. It’s light, airy, and puts a smile on my face. So does it spark joy Marie Kondo? You bet it does!
I’ve been trying to hold off on shopping for now, but admittedly broke down and bought another colour in my fave top from local label Jackson Rowe. It was too good to pass up. I’ve been having fun mixing and matching current items in my closet. I’m giving new life to pieces ignored that I truly do love. I’ve also been paying attention to my word of intent I have set for the year, confidence. Since I do live a pretty casual life with three littles, I’ve got into a comfort zone of comfortable clothes, which I won’t be giving up anytime soon. I am, however, going to have the confidence to have my “on” days. Those days when I want to up my style game and not care if it’s only to run and errands. I want to squash feeling foolish for wanting to feel stylish but also show myself grace on the days when leggings and sweatshirt feel just right. It’s a balance.
Ok Ladies! Dish! Who else has been Marie Kondoing the crap out of their homes? Show of hands.
