It is not Fall yet.  Not even close, in my mind anyway.  We had a late start to the Summer here on the West Coast, so I’m soaking up every minute of sunshine and heat.  I know sartorially we always want to skip ahead to the next season.  Rather than choosing to shop one season or another, opt for pieces that can transition seamlessly from one season to the next.

When shopping for new pieces, especially dresses, I like to keep versatility in mind.  I only have a couple of very Summery dresses that would be limited to just the hotter months.  Most of my dresses can be worn for more than one season.  This stunning navy blue dress from Emma Knudsen is no exception.  For Summer I’ve styled it with open to sandal shoes, a straw bag, and bold accessories.  Imagine this dress in the Fall with ankle boots and a blanket scarf, or in the Spring with white runners and a denim jacket.  Versatility is such an important thing to keep in mind when shopping to ensure you are getting the most out of the pieces you buy.  This is also a good way to build a more sustainable, and maybe even minimal, wardrobe.

A few highlights:
– This dress is made of 52% Tencel + 48% cotton.
– This Fall they will be extending their sizes to 3X for their Autumn collection.
– The breathability and weight of this dress, makes it a perfect year round piece.
