Whenever the sunshine makes an appearance in rainy Vancouver I somehow manage to convince myself that I can get away with wearing lighter clothes. Not really the case. We have had some beautiful weather, but more frigid temperatures (for West Coast standards). In order to make this spring blazer warm enough (kinda), I relied on lots of layers. I started with a tank tucked in to keep my back warm, then layered on a long sleeve tee, then this super cozy sweater with a scarf and then the blazer. I was definitely pushing my luck with the bare feet in these shoes so after 10 mins of being outside I ran back into the house and switched to socks and neutral toned ankle boots and grabbed a pair of grey knit gloves while I was in there.

Blazer: H&M, Sweater: Garcia, Jeans: AG, Scarf: H&M, Belt: Elise M, Clutch: Co-Lab, Earrings: c/o Love Coco, Broach: vintage (my grandmother’s), Bracelets: CPak & c/o Mala Imports, Shoes: consignment purchase

January 16, 2013 at 8:44 amI’m glad I’m not the only one who things that sun always equals warmth 😉 I’ve made the same mistake so many times! Even if you didn’t get to wear it for long, this outfit is just lovely, especially that clutch!

January 16, 2013 at 9:51 amDigging the belt on the sweater under the blazer. Huge fan of giving myself a waistline in clothes that don’t innately have them. Will ‘borrow’ your idea!

January 16, 2013 at 3:58 pmI’m totally the same way, thinking that when it’s sunny in Van it’s appropriate to wear less. I get a rude shock everytime, haha

January 16, 2013 at 7:01 pmI love those jeans! I had a pair of Citizens that looked like that from a few years ago but they discontinued them and I’ve been searching for the perfect skinny jean ever since. Did you get them in Vancouver? And do you mind me asking what style they are?

January 17, 2013 at 12:44 amI did get them in Vancouver. I bought these at The Urban Rack on 4th Ave in Kits. They are the AG Farrah Skinnies. They are a high waisted skinny jean and oh-so-comfy. I know The Urban Rack has tons of jeans on sale right now so you never know, you might just luck out:) Happy Shopping!

January 16, 2013 at 7:15 pmHahaha we are both guilty of not dressing for the cold. I just have no interest in doing so this year! At least you are wearing scarves. You are looking lovely Jen! xo

February 5, 2013 at 11:20 amLove the overall look. New follower for a couple of weeks now. Is the top a top or a sweater dress layered with skinnies.

February 5, 2013 at 12:37 pmIt actually is a short dress, but I have a very long body so it ends up like a long top/tunic on me. Thanks for following:)
