I say all the time, that I love good comfortable clothes. On the makeover shows of yesteryear, we were always told that comfort was a bad word and fashion faux pas. In my younger years, I definitely sacrificed comfort for style. I used to wear heals to work, for crying out loud….and I worked in retail!!!!! It it’s a bit uncomfortable I must look good, right? Wrong! Not anymore.
When I am comfortable in every way with what I have on, my confidence comes through and I’m a happy camper. I’m past the stage of life where I’m trying to impress people. While I do appreciate a genuine compliment, I’m really aiming to feel good in whatever I wear regardless of what other people may think. Some days, like everyday this week, I have a sick kid and I’m in the mommy trenches. I feel best in my favourite sweat pants and a great fitting t-shirt. Other days I’m out with my family grabbing a coffee with my husband and then hitting up the grocery store (sounds lame I know, but this is quite the outing for us). This outfit here is something I feel good in for a day like that. This sweater is so comfy I’ve even worn it with leggings and big cozy socks for an at home movie day. As I have blogged before (here), on how you should dress to impress yourself. If you shop well and keep your lifestyle in mind, you will end up with a closet full of fabulous things that make you happy.
