I worked in fashion retail for a whole lotta years and during that time I worked with women on wardrobe building. I helped clients discover their unique style, help them find the right pieces to add into their closets, and showed them how to rework one item several ways. Cue this little floral wrap top. I got this top back in the Fall, and have primarily worn it with my jeans. (See it here.) With my social calendar filling up this month, I’ve been playing in closet and remixing items I own, in a more festive way.
I can’t believe I almost parted with this tulle skirt! It was in the consign pile, but I tried it on and decided to keep it. It’s the perfect holiday skirt. By tucking in the blouse and adding some sparkle, with a statement necklace and sequin clutch, it elevates it and gives it a more festive feel. My basic little ankle boots and classic trench ground the look, making it the perfect look for a dinner out with the girls, a date night, or an evening out for cocktails.
We can all be guilty of the whole “I have nothing to wear” bit, however, when you take a good look around at what you already have, you might be pleasantly surprised at what you can create. And if you’re really stuck, shoot me a DM with your style questions. I’m happy to help!
