Style

Ode to Betsey

I feel so lucky to have talented friends who want to work with me on fun little projects.  Recently I did a  photo-shoot which aloud me to dust off my old modeling hat and to style some fun looks with items already in my closet.  A BIG thank you to Jeff at FM Photographics for taking these pics.  Stay tuned…you’ll be seeing more from this photo session in upcoming posts.

I bought this Betsey Johnson dress over 10 years ago.  It was my first designer purchase so I just can’t let this one go.  While I feel I’ve probably outgrown the Betsey esthetic over the years, I couldn’t help but style it up for this shoot.  For a more grown up feel, I layered it over my skinny jeans and then kept to Betsey’s signature print with this leopard print crop cardi, added fun gold accessories and finished off the look with my favorite Betsey Johnson booties.

Dress: old school Betsey Johnson,  Jeans: AG, Cardi: Banana Republic, Booties: Betsey Johnson, Necklace: Aldo Accessories, Belt: Value Village, Bracelet: Forever 21, Hoops: The Urban Rack

Do you have any old closet favorites you just can’t let go of?

What absolutely gorgeous photos, Jen! You can so tell that you have a modelling background – that second last photo (and all of the others, really) is absolutely stunning 🙂
