With less than a month to go until Baby Pistor arrives, I’ve had my decorating hat on to get the nursery put together. I’ve had a vision in my head for a while now, but finding all the pieces to make it come together has been trickier than I thought it would be. I find a lot of nursery items are too bold and have so many different colours going on that cute can quickly become gaudy. Whenever I do find something I like, it is way outside the budget I had in mind. Yes, as fun as decorating can be, I also find it to be frustrating at times.
The new bassinet and a little furry friend to sit on a shelf.
My vision:
– soft colour palette (grey’s, white, with pops of lavender)
– pretty but not cutesy
– coordinated but not matchy
– functional as well as beautiful
– a space she can grow up in
Art and prints for her room.
The pieces are now coming together. Luckily my mother-in-law has some skills with a sewing machine, so I have custom curtains and a bench seat coming my way. My Hubby is the handyman extraordinaire! He has re-purposed and old dated dresser into a pretty new change table/dresser. I just love it. Well, I should probably get back at it! I am running out of time after all.
I can’t wait to share the finished product.

I came across you blog through an old post about the Vancouver fashion week. I also quite agree with some of the points you made, but i’m also happy to let you know things are getting better, as I modeled last season. And I hope it gets better and better
Keep in touch!

Everything is going to be perfect, your vision is wonderful. I love your blog, so hope baby Pistor will let you have time to keep up the good work. I can also see some “baby fashion” blogs on the way.
