Summer is here!!!! The kids have one week of school left and we are busy making plans to make the most of the warm weather. Also, this is the second look I have put together using the pieces I selected for my Summer travel capsule wardrobe. Those items again are,
2 pairs of shorts, 1 swimsuit, 1 tank, 1 pair of pants, 1 bra top, 3 pairs of shoes, 3 bags, 1 pair of sunnies, 1 cotton blouse, 1 denim top, 1 floral chiffon cardi top, 3 pairs of earrings, endless mix and match opportunities
If your plan is to spend the day at the beach, chances are some point you’re going to want to head somewhere for lunch, or to grab ice cream with the kids, or enjoy a bevie on the patio of one of your favourite watering holes. This outfit can totally accommodate that. Every gal needs a great pair of denim cut offs. They are an absolute wardrobe staple for me. I love to pair them with a pretty top for a more polished look. This cotton eyelet wrap top lends itself perfectly to wear as a coverup + a stylish top for a beer under an umbrella. These denim shorts would absolutely work with my previous look (here) just by swapping out the shorts. This white wrap top would be cute with my black pants for a dressier look or even swapped out with the floral cardi of my last look.
For those of you terrified to wear a swimsuit this Summer, fret not! I wrote an article over at Vancouver Mom (find it here), where I am sharing some amazing ethical, Canadian, body inclusive swimwear brands that you will feel amazing in! Here, I’m wearing my new suit I bought from Knixwear. Yes, they are absolutely on my list.
I’ve got one more look to come from my Summer Travel Capsule Wardrobe. It will be coming soon, so be sure to watch for it.
