So here I am with two 1 year olds! Technically I’ve had two 1 year olds since December 14th, but with some hospital stays over their birthday and sick kid after sick kid, I haven’t had a chance to properly acknowledge these sweet babes and their milestone.
Finding out I was pregnant with twins was one of the most shocking and joyous moments of my entire life that I will never forget. Me, by myself at my ultrasound because I told my hubby not to come (just routine I told him…lol), and the technician saying “Oh! Do you have twins in the family?” Me asking if there were two babies, and when she said yes, a flood of tears come out. I went in nervous and wanted that confirmation that everything was ok, but twins was the most amazing news ever.
Fast forward, and here we are. These two faces are more beautiful then I could have ever dreamed of. Despite being identical, their personalities are so different. Lily and Sabrina, you have challenged me to be a better person, you have taught me patience, persistence, and how to keep going even when I don’t think I can. You have filled my heart so much and you and your big sister make me oh so very proud to be your momma.
Lily, (my little Baby B) you have a sweetness about you like no other. You love to make us laugh, play peek-a-boo, steel all your sister’s toys, snuggling your little pink bear, dancing, clapping your hands, and getting all the cuddles you can get. You are determined to keep up to your sisters and I adore your persistence.
Sabrina, (my sweet Baby A) I love your fire. You were always the feisty one inside my tummy. Now you are patient, kind, silly, playful, full of energy, and the most loving sister. You love to learn, discovering new things, and making anything into a hat. I don’t think I could kiss that sweet face enough in a day. You are a little trailblazer already. You make me proud little one!
So now, as my eyes are glistening with tears thinking back on what a journey it has been so far, I want to say Happy Birthday Lily and Sabrina. I love you more then you will ever know! (PS. In case you were wondering, no it’s not easy to take pictures of twin one year olds. LOL!)
